Services
Disability services
Disability Services, also known as the Tenant Support Service, is our original service and core business activity, evolving as a distinctive service delivery model to support people living in households across Sydney. This program receives a subsidy from the NSW Government through the Ageing Disability and Home Care, (ADHC) with the remaining operating costs being met by the organisation through our business activities. Services provided vary according to people’s individual needs. They include general housekeeping services (such as cooking, cleaning, shopping and budgeting), skills acquisition (structured training and behavioural management), health management (medical appointments and medication), financial support (money management and banking) and community access (leisure and recreational activities).
Attendant care program
The Attendant Care Program is an important service for people with physical disabilities who need support to maintain their daily lives in their own homes. Funded through Ageing, Disability and Home Care, services may include personal care, housekeeping, and general community support. We support people with many differing disabilities across the Sydney metropolitan area.
Lifetime care and support scheme
We provide support services to people who have received major injury trauma through motor vehicle accidents and who are funded through the LifeTime Care & Support program operated by the Motor Accidents Authority.
In-home and community support services
The In-Home and Community Support Service was established as a small business venture in 1992, to provide a range of in home support services and to cover our deficit in the disability specific service. The program has grown by developing a range of niche markets, allowing us to specialise in our areas of competency and maintain a close alignment with the services provided through Disability Services.
Services provided include respite for families of children and adults with disabilities, support for older people who wish to remain in their own home, requests from guardians and families for companionship and/or monitoring for nursing home residents, support services to other disability organisations, tailored packages of support services for insurance companies and people in receipt of compensation, support for community access and recreational activities, and general housekeeping services. We also provide assessments of support needs and case management for people with special needs.
