The CCA Story - Building Choice & Options
The CCA Journey
Our journey began in 1987 when we were established as Residential Care Inc., initially funded by the NSW Government, as a pilot program moving people out of institutional and congregate care settings into their own homes within the community.
In 2001 we changed our name to Community Connections Australia. This change allowed us to better reflect our ongoing commitment to our core philosophy and beliefs.
Throughout the years of providing services, CCA has evolved and adapted, yet our fundamental mission, vision, purpose, and values have remained, ensuring our services empower people to lead fulfilling and self-directed lives.

We Are Driven By Our CCA Values
Autonomous
We focus on each person’s dreams and goals, ensuring their voice determines their choices and decisions in every aspect of their life.
Collaborative
We work together with the people we support to help them achieve what they want in their lives. We focus on building a strong community with each person at the centre of their support network, working alongside them, not for them.
Flexible and Nimble
We are adaptable and ready to respond to changes in people’s lives, offering a range of supports when and where they are wanted, and needed.
Innovative
We approach all our work with creativity and imagination, constantly seeking new ideas to achieve the best possible outcomes with the people we support.
