The CCA Story
40 Years of Trusted Disability Support
Our Journey
Since 1987, Community Connections Australia (CCA) has been providing personalised disability support across Greater Sydney. Discover how our values, experienced team and commitment to choice have helped thousands of people connect with the right support to live life their way.
———-
Our journey almost 40 years ago when we were established as Residential Care Inc., initially funded by the NSW Government, as a pilot program moving people out of institutional and congregate care settings into their own homes within the community.
Then, in 2001 we changed our name to Community Connections Australia. This change allowed us to better reflect our ongoing commitment to our core philosophy and beliefs.
Throughout the years of providing services, CCA has evolved and adapted, yet our fundamental mission, vision, purpose, and values have remained, ensuring our services empower people to lead fulfilling and self-directed lives.
We Are Driven By Our CCA Values
Autonomous
We empower each person to shape their own path. Each person’s goal, choices and voice guide every decision, ensuring genuine independence and self-direction in all aspects of their life.
Collaborative
We build real connections with people working alongside them to achieve their goals. Together, we create strong communities where each person is the epicentre of their support network.
Flexible and Nimble
We adapt quickly to people’s changing needs and circumstances. By staying responsive and versatile, we provide the right support, at the right time, where and when it matters most.
Innovative
We embrace creativity and curiosity in everything we do. By exploring new ideas and approaches, we continuously find better ways to deliver meaningful outcomes for the people we support.
